| Some of my items are automatically sorted but the vast majority are not. Why is this and is the only option to individually sort them? I realize this is a nebie question but I have looked everywhere for an explanation and can't find it. Thank you, Melissa

farnersbooks (1/6/2012) Some of my items are automatically sorted but the vast majority are not. Why is this and is the only option to individually sort them? I realize this is a nebie question but I have looked everywhere for an explanation and can't find it. Thank you, MelissaMelissa... sorry to be so slow answering. farnersbooks.com is looking very nice. Categories are pulled from Amazon but as you see Amazon does not have a lot of categories for the items. You can add your own categories on AOB. It goes under the Amazon attributes - ZShop Browse The format is: Books:Category:SubCat1 and so forth Replace Books with any of your main categories... DVD, Music and so forth.

Related category question: the categories in our database need to be cleaned up like nobody's business. They've resulted in a
series of nonsensical categories on our site that I'd like to roll back and clean up.
Is there a category menu edit that I'm missing, or is that functionality only automated?
NOTE: Before I realized there would be some categories auto-assigned, I did click the "Generate Categories from Inventory" option. Some of our categories were marked as "bus" for business, for example, which I'm going to change, but I'm not sure why it created "bus" and "busbus" categories on our sidebar. That's mostly the kind of thing I'd like to roll back and clean up.
In the meantime, off to change my Browse Paths.

| Your account is set to use Amazon categories if you are not providing them. Unfortionately the format Amazon uses is different then yours so it really looks weird. Perhaps you should use Amazons categories ( I would have to change it ) until you can clean them up on FIllz.

| Is it possible to set it to use Amazon categories exclusively, even if we have a Browse Path set for other sites in our inventory file? I think that would be fine, if we can. We only really set categories as a necessity for sites that don't provide any.
