Web sites are not showing inventory: Check your web sites

I went to my admin page to do my regular inventory upload. The first thing I always do is check the web site to make sure that everything is okay. It was not. None of my inventory was showing. I went ahead and did my inventory upload as I normally do and still nothing.

I checked quite a number of other WOB web sites and this problem is happening to a lot of your other web sites. And, many of the web sites that are not experiencing the exact same problem as I am seeing are experiencing a different problem where whenever I click on a category I get a great big huge error message.

Titles on a multi-book order switched in FillZ

Hi, Andy,

We received our first order that wasn't a test -- yay! -- but when it came through, we saw that she had ordered three books, but FillZ interpreted them strangely. In one column were three sets of order information (ISBN, SKU, etc. as FillZ collates), but beside each was the wrong book title from the Title field (the very long field that assembles ISBN and Title, etc.) They were the correct three books, but they were mixed up and did not correspond to the correct order information in the left column.

Any idea why this might be? I could contact FillZ if you think it's an issue with interpreting your format and we can do anything to fix it up. Have you run into this before?

A while back when I was setting up my site, I found somewhere a function to show on a user page the Amazon feedback summary. When Amazon recently changed the At-A-Glance page, this function seems to have broken. Text and images that I had on the page that followed this broken function also disappeared. I removed the function to restore the rest of the page.

Both my web site and admin page are both down. I am getting a "cannot find server" for both pages. What is going on and how long before my site is back? It is the top of the holiday buying season.

A customer emailed to point out that my books don't show up on my website. If you click on a category, it shows the number of pages of listings I have, but it does not show the books. I am linked to Amazon and verified my AWS Access Key & Secret Key are correct on my website. Where did the images and information about the books go?

If I search my WOB site for "Edgar Award" as keyword, I get 10 hits.

My site stopped working about a month ago

Hi Andy et al,

I hadn't been using my site much, so I'm not sure when it happened. But I noticed about a month ago that if I went to piousladies.org my site was gone. I procrastinated on figuring out the problem until I got my quarterly bill, then thought I should either resolve the problem or just drop the whole thing.

Today I tried to see if my DNS servers were wrong. I had been using something like ns3.piousladies.org and ns4.piousladies.org . So I tried a couple of variations and they didn't work. Now I've got nothing set up as my DNS server

I know I still own piousladies.org How do I connect it back up to my website?

Search by title or author, same results as by keyword

I'm using the search box that has drop down selections for keyword, author and title. If I search for "Jefferson" as keyword, it returns 10 books, with Jefferson anywhere in description, title, or author as expected. http://www.4shadowsbooks.com/Keyword%20-%20jefferson/Search.aspx

Inventory uploads failing

Users report nothing but background

My wife called me today while I was out and about, to report that a co-worker went to my site last night and saw nothing but the slate background. They tried it there at work, and same thing - nothing but the background. When I got home, I tried it, and it looks fine, all content is present. I called to tell her it seemed to be OK, and she tried it again - and still sees nothing but the background. ?

Pre-ISBN books (& some other stuff) - no Amazon checkout button

I've noticed that pre-ISBN books and some CD's and VHS tapes, while appearing on my WOB site and purchasable via PayPal, do not have Amazon checkout available. But, these items are available from me on Amazon.

I just looked at an inventory upload file sent from AOB to WOB on 2011-07-11 17:05:11. It had only one SKU in it, b4s4-110711-h01. Looks to me like AOB is not sending the ASIN in the "ISBN" field when it's not a valid ISBN.

Is this normal, or did I misconfigure something when setting up my WOB site on AOB?

Do I need to take this up with AOB, or what?

* PHP 4.3 or greater
* MySQL 4.1.2 or greater
* The mod_rewrite Apache module

(I think the last one isn't critical).

If so, would you please add a MySQL db to my account?

And second, I signed up for a Mal's account and followed your setup instructions -- at least I think I did-- but I don't get a payment option on my listings. Am I dong something wrong?

Fillz Inventory Problem

Our inventory is listed with fillz and seems that the first upload into the website went without flaw (after a little help from Andy of course). But yesterday I added quite a few new titles through Fillz. This morning, I checked our website at techntext.com to make sure they got uploaded....but it appears they have not. I checked the marketplace status in fillz and see the latest upload was from this morning. Any ideas or is this an issue I bring to the fillz support team?

items and website search

I have a few questions:

1) I'm testing the search and it seems most items aren't showing up...and the ones that do show tend to be items entered months ago.

2) I checked inventory info. and it shows that we still have about 25 files to be processed. Seems we generate about 20 files a day to process. Is this normal?

Multiple quantity of a listing

Is it possible to show on any screen how many of a SKU are available?

Can multiple quantity of a single SKU be ordered through Paypal checkout?

For example - my SKU b8s1-100927-h01, ISBN 0312878397, "Necroscope IV: Deadspeak" by Brian Lumley - I have 2 in stock. I do not see on any of the browse or detailed info screens that I have two available, and I am not able to add 2 to a Paypal cart.

orders not going through but showing in dashboard

since we've never gotten a single paypal payment on the orders that show up on our dashboard, I decided to "purchase" some items and this is the message I received after choosing paypal as the payment method:

"We cannot process this transaction because there is a problem with the PayPal email address supplied by the seller. Please contact the seller to resolve the problem. If this payment is for an eBay listing, you can contact the seller via the "Ask Seller a Question" link on the listing page. When you have the correct email address, payment can be made at www.paypal.com."

I'm writing to verify if we have the correct payment address. It should be: tillerhouse@gmail.com
